Music

Each of my albums has a distinct character, reflected by my intent and mood at the time of writing and recording.

dawn, may the 29th

When did it begin?  A year ago?  Five years ago?  Perhaps before I was even born?  Pre-destiny and free will inextricably interconnected in a great “both and” moment of awakening.

starlight

It may not be immediately obvious (and perhaps I’m risking a cliche here), but starlight is a collection of meditations on life and spirit: of the quest for moments of wonder and awe..

A bookend to the song “dawn (as I wake)” from the album dawn, may the 29th. The first asks what shall be done with the day, while the second asks what was done with the day.

in the distance

These songs are among the oldest songs I’ve written, having been started years ago but left unfinished until this release. On reflection I think younger me was on to something.

rae, she…

I wonder what Rae would have thought about this collection of love songs I wrote to her following her untimely passing.  Would she be flattered or embarrassed?  Are the songs too soppy; too personal?
